The Boilers Act, 2025

The Boilers Act, 2025 replaces the outdated Boilers Act of 1923, modernizing regulations to ensure the safe manufacture, erection, and use of boilers across India. This Act aims to prevent explosions and enhance safety standards by mandating registration, inspection, and certification of boilers and their components. It introduces stricter penalties for violations, promotes uniformity in technical standards, and empowers central and state authorities to enforce compliance. The Act also establishes the Central Boilers Board to oversee regulations and third-party inspections, ensuring accountability and transparency. Its implementation strengthens legal frameworks, safeguarding lives and property while supporting industrial growth.
