Synopsis

This judgment by the Delhi High Court disposes of a petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking a third extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. The parties had been in arbitration since 2021, and the Tribunal's mandate had already been extended twice, with the last extension expiring on 05.02.2026. The petitioner sought a further extension of six months to complete the pending cross-examination, hear final arguments, and conclude the proceedings.
